Chai Leng Park Food Street

One of the liveliest food streets at night in Chai Leng Park, Butterworth famously known as Wai Sek Kai, where there are around 50 hawker stalls selling different choice of foods. You will see this street turned into a hawker food haven at night with stalls lining up from the beginning right till the end of the street. It is just approximately 7-minute drive from Ixora Hotel Penang and you can basically get any delightful Penang food in just one stop!

The main highlight of Chai Leng Park’s Wai Sek Kai is the Lok-Lok stall! The types of food cover a wide range of every bite-size food imaginable such as sausages, fish balls, meat balls, squids, shrimps, vegetables, and even some cooked items such as deep-fried wontons and deep fried beancurd sheets. They are also well-known for their sauce which are ready on every table, which includes Satay Sauce, Minced Onion Sauce, BBQ Sauce, Curry Sauce and Chili Paddy.

For those who love their chicken wings sticky and fully caramelised, this is the place for you. With a sweet honey-coated chicken wings, you will enjoy a burst of multiple flavours from smoky, savoury to sweet that is grilled to perfection with a minimal charring.
